Have a kid who loves to create?! Kids Who Make is the perfect day for budding entrepreneurs looking for an outlet to sell their art, crafts, treats and creations.

Registration is open to kids ages 16 and under. The market will take place INSIDE small businesses throughout downtown Lemont. A table and two chairs will be provided for each registration.

Responsibilities of your young creative:

• Name your business! Make a sign!

• Price! Have items priced or a pricing sheet

• Pay! Have a way to accept payment. (example cash, parents venmo/zelle, square reader etc)

• Package! Have a way to bag or wrap your items if necessary

• Look Good! Be ready to set up your table with covering etc

• Engage! Be willing to talk about your product and/or process

• Advertise! Tell your family and friends about the event

• Sell sell sell and have fun!

DETAILS:

The event will run from 12 tp 3 pm on Sunday August 4th. Set up is from 11-12. The tables will already be arranged and ready when you arrive. Two weeks before the market, we will send an email to the address on the registration with your exact location and any last minute details. Internet and electricity is available at all locations. Signs and maps will be available to help shoppers find all the locations of crafters. Its a great to explore downtown Lemont!

TIPS:

• The more unique your item, the more likely it will stand out! We had many many beaded bracelets and jewelry last year. Remember saturation of any product will likely result in fewer sales. How can your creation be special?

• Start making you products early! Last year we had two different opportunities to be on TV promoting the event and the kids’ products! We hope for the same this year.

• Practice setting up your table at home so you’ll be prepared the day of!

• Registration fill ups quickly so dont delay! But be sure to check the calendar because registration fees are non-refundable.

• Some examples of previous kid sized vendor products: dog treats, jewelry, bookmarks, candles, lemonade, slime, greeting cards, crochet, canvas art, gluten free treats and more. Be creative!
